What do we have planned after the Grand Opening?
We’ll have open play every morning. With 14 courts, everyone will find someone fun to play with. All ages and abilities will be welcome and find somewhere to play.
We’re also planning round robins, leagues, small fun tournaments and competitive large tournaments. You’ll be able to book the courts during certain hours for private play. And, of course, we’ll have all-club social get togethers!
Grand Opening Tournament November 18 – 21
This tournament will be a classic double elimination skill / age division tournament.
Singles, Doubles and Mixed Doubles divisions will be played throughout the opening three days followed by a Championship 4th day for all the gold medal Open Division matches.
Come out and play in our first tournament at our new facility!
The cost is 1200 pesos ($60 USD), which includes entrance in 1 event. Each additional event costs 200 pesos ($10 USD) more. Register here.
In men’s, women’s and mixed doubles, 3.0, 3.5 and 4.0 will play in their skill and age bracket and 4.5 and above will play in the Open Division. The Open Division will be divided in age groups of under 50, 50 – 64 and 65+.
In singles, 3.0 and 3.5 will compete together and 4.0 and above will play in the Open Division. The Open Division will be divided in age groups of 49 and under, and 50 and over.

Update on Construction
If you haven’t yet read the August 9 pickleball newsletter, please do. It has details on what we did to that date.
On August 24, the bricks arrived and we’re starting on the wall!
4 courts have asphalt with 2 more started.
Sanchez is working on installing the electrical mufas.
Our court design that, based on our topographical study, allowed us to take into account things like water flow over the property and slope of the land kept us high and dry during last week’s rains. We had no big puddles or standing water after the rains and the Proyectos team was back at work whenever there was a break in the weather.
August 12 to date: Proyectos Deportivos poured the reinforced concrete lining around courts 9 & 7 and installed the light post bases. They then poured the asphalt. They then started on courts 5 & 3, finishing the reinforced concrete lining and light post bases. They are now starting to pour the asphalt for these 2 courts.
On August 13, CEA brought a water line to the edge of our property and installed our water meter. We now have both electricity and water at the property. Since then, we’ve brought the line to the facility and have running water.
On August 11 & 12, the asphalt was poured on courts 13 & 11
By August 10, Proyectos Deportivos had poured the reinforced concrete lining around courts 11 & 13, and built height guide cylinders and asphalt height leveling guide rows.
