Hola San Carlos Pickleballers,
We hope you’re all having a fantastic time on and off the courts! As some of our members are heading north again, we want to remind everyone that the pickleball fun in San Carlos Pickleball Club doesn’t stop here. We’ve got plenty of exciting activities, tournaments, drill sessions, open play and workshops lined up to keep the spirit of pickleball alive before the winter season ends.
While we are missing those who are embarking on journey home, we’re excited to continue building connections and community with all of you who are still here. Spring is around the block and we are already feeling the warm weather coming to San Carlos.
See you on the courts! San Carlos Pickleball Club
Construction Update from the President
We want to provide you with an update regarding the ongoing bathroom construction project. Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances, the construction has taken longer than initially anticipated. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. We are working diligently to expedite the completion of the project and have taken necessary measures to minimize any further delays. Your comfort and convenience are our top priorities, and we appreciate your patience and understanding during this time.
In other news, we’re excited to announce the installation of new shade structures in the middle area of our club! These shade structures will provide much-needed relief from the sun during morning open play and daytime tournaments. Thank you to Shade Eco for their in-kind donation and Scott Buntenbah for his work on the shade poles.
Thank you for your continued support and cooperation as we strive to enhance your experience at the San Carlos Pickleball Club.

Tournaments & Events
Join us for the last GLP tournament of the winter Season!
Don’t miss out on our next GLP Tournament, from April 26 to 28. This event is for everyone and is a fun team-style tournament modeled after the format and rules of Major League Pickleball.
All players will be drafted to a team and then your team will be revealed during the Friday Night Team Reveal Party. Teams consist of four players (players will register as individuals) and all teams will play a round robin, followed by play-offs. Tournament directors will do their best to create the most balanced teams in each of the divisions.
Grab your paddle, rally with the best, and let the games begin!

What’s On
Elevate your game with our Pickleball Lessons and Workshops
Improve your pickleball skills this season with instruction from our very own pickleball teaching pro, Kevin Duff. Whether you’re a newbie or a seasoned pro, the game is evolving and there’s always new skills to develop and strategies to learn. Elevate your game with pickleball lessons, workshops, drill sessions and video assessments!

Private drill sessions can be booked for a minimum of six and a maximum of sixteen participants.Price: 100 pesos/person/hour.
- Video Assessment: A video assessment is the perfect way to better understand what you’re doing well and areas of your game you could improve. During the assessment, you’ll be video recorded (using artificial intelligence Swing Vision© software) while playing games for approximately one hour.Price: 1,500 pesos.
For more information about those workshops, drill sessions and lessons please send a WhatsApp message to Kevin at +52 622-147-2979.

What are you working on to improve your game right now?
I have been working on a few things to improve my game: lessons with Kevin have definitely helped a lot. He is an excellent teacher and we are lucky to have him. We have worked on midcourt and baseline resets and drops. I have been working on topspin drops. I also go to the gym and I have added spin class as well. My goal for pickleball, most importantly, is to continue to have fun playing and hopefully to improve.
