GLP Player Experience Survey – Season 2026
Over the past three years, our unique GLP Team Tournaments have focused on creating balanced, competitive teams that lead to close matches and exciting DreamBreakers. One of our main goals has always been to make participation easy by allowing individual registration, with the Tournament Director and organizing team forming balanced teams based on overall skill levels. This approach has been especially helpful at the beginning of the season, when many new players may not yet know other participants.
This season, we also experimented with several draft formats to continue improving competitiveness and the overall player experience.
As we prepare for our March tournament — the final event of the season — we are considering allowing players to form their own teams. Since both new and returning members now know each other better, this may feel more natural at this stage of the season, with the Organizing Committee placing teams in the divisions that best fit their level. However, we would only move in this direction if it reflects what the majority of our players feel comfortable with.
For that reason, we have prepared this GLP Player Experience Survey. Your feedback will help us refine the format for upcoming seasons and ensure we continue building the best possible experience for everyone.

San Carlos Pickleball Club Team
San Carlos Pickleball Club – Vision & Mission 🌎🏆
Our new President, Gary Levinson, successfully hosted the first General Assembly of 2026, held with all board members, the management team, and our club lawyer in attendance. We are pleased to officially welcome our new board members, Ron Halverson and Jeff Weinberg, to the team. We look forward to their contributions and leadership in the coming year.
At the heart of everything we do, the Board and Management Team are united by a shared vision: To build the greatest pickleball club in Latin America, recognized for its social impact, its diverse and inclusive community beyond national borders, and its excellence in event organization and player development.
This vision is rooted in four core pillars that guide our decisions, shape our events, and inform our long-term strategy:
- Creating a positive impact in our community
- Fostering an inclusive environment for all ages, backgrounds, and skill levels
- Delivering unique experiences and events for our members and the broader community
- Promoting the sport and our one-of-a-kind destination
These principles keep us focused, inspired, and aligned as we continue to grow — not just in size, but in purpose and impact.
All of this is in service of our mission: To grow the sport of pickleball by creating a vibrant, inclusive, and community-driven club that offers exceptional experiences, promotes healthy living, and serves as a model for positive impact — locally and across Latin America.
Social Impact Program
This month, the kids from Orphanage Ancla de Amor enjoyed a special surprise during their Monday lesson—personalized t-shirts and a delicious burger dinner.

SCPC Beyond the Courts
Friendships formed at the club now extend far beyond the pickleball courts. The impact of our community reaches throughout the town, as many of our members actively support local organizations devoted to meaningful causes.
Our club was the largest group participating in the Walk/Run to End Domestic Violence (Sana & Protegida / Safe & Sound), with over 100 SCPC members taking part. This past week, many of our members also proudly supported Rotary and its scholarship program by attending the Mardi Gras celebration. As we do each year, our club donated a pickleball kit to support their fundraising auction.
Lessons, Workshops and Fitness Classes
New This Year: HathaYoga for pickleball with Karen Kettenacker.
Hatha yoga is a traditional form of yoga that emphasizes physical postures (asanas), breathing techniques (pranayama), and mindful alignment to develop strength, flexibility, balance, and body awareness. These physical and mental attributes directly support movement efficiency, stability, and focus on the pickleball court.
To register: Message or call Karen (WhatsApp or text) at +1 (250) 919-1315
