About San Carlos
Located on the Sea of Cortez, San Carlos has many activities both on shore and in the water. Pickleball is extremely popular here, but we also have boating, biking, snorkeling, scuba diving, ATVing, golfing, hiking, fishing, kayaking, bird watching and fantastic restaurants.
Where is San Carlos Mexico? San Carlos Sonora is in northern Mexico, on the Gulf of California (Sea of Cortez). We are an easy 4 hour drive south of the Arizona border. It takes about 5 hours to drive from Tucson.
What to Do in San Carlos, Mexico
- San Carlos Sonora has dozens of excellent restaurants.
- There are many hotels, vacation rentals, and condos to choose from in San Carlos.
- San Carlos Mexico has great fishing in the Sea of Cortez. Read the fishing guide and weekly fishing report here. You can even try your luck in one of the many fishing tournaments.
- Mirador: for a beautiful view of the coast and Tetakawi. From the Mirador, you can spot lots of marine life such as whales, mobula rays and dolphins. It’s also a great place to watch the sun set.
